lunch club- Devon
      #110260 - 04/05/2008 14:29

Have been posting on the Walking club forum re walking in the Newton Abbot/South Devon/ Exeter area but so far not a lot of interest. Susieblue and I met last Saturday at Haven banks in Exeter. We had a coffee on the Piazza, followed by a leisurely stroll along the canal and then lunch. Very civilised and enjoyable. SO I've had sudden inspiration maybe if we call it a coffee/ lunch club rather than a walking group maybe there'll be more takers! Is there anyone out there who feels inspired to join us next time? Waiting to hear from you all! Sharon

Happy to come but just for the coffee or lunch. I think some of the Exeter supperclubbers may be interested.

Hi Sharonjane! I live in Torbay and would be happy to meet up for lunch, but can't do the walking bit as I've got a bad knee! If we could make it somewhere that is fairly easy to reach by bus or train, that would be great as I don't drive.

Sorry, that sounds like an awful lot of 'can't' and 'don't', but if you would like to meet up, that would be great and perhaps you could PM me.

Good to hear from you both. Would be good to have your company for lunch- those of us who wish to walk could do so before or after. Watch this space for further info.
Bowbellslady- I am also interested in coming along to the exeter supper club but is it alwayas on a thursday? Thursday isn't a good night for me- it's the only night of the week that I regularly do something... typical!

Hi Sharonjane
Some of us are meeting up with Debbie from Kent on either August 27th or 28th on Exeter for lunch and possibly some retail therapy. Can you make either of those. More info on Exeter Supperclub page.
