I would like to regain fitness and think walking would be a good way to start. Does anyone know if there's a walking group/club in Burley-in-Wharfedale, Ilkley?

Do you live near to Henley-on-Thames and would be interested in doing some leisurely walking. I have recently retired and don't want to become a couch potato so let's get together and have some fun keeping fit.

I don't know of walking groups in Burley but I live in North Leeds and and keen to join a walk ...it's not far away....about 9 miles I guess and on the 84x bus route...

Have you seen the walk from Apperley Bridge next Sunday 11th May. That's not too far from you. I live in Otley and I'm going along. (See the West Yorkshire walking club notice further down the page.)

The next walk for the West Yorkshire walking group will be near Harrogate on Sunday 1st June, 2008. approx 2 hour walk.
More information will be posted next week on where we are meeting and what time etc...
To all who went on the walk at Apperley Bridge on Sunday, 11th thank you very much for good company, good weather and a lovely cup of tea at the end.
Looking forward to seeing you all next time and any new faces who would like to join us...

Don't know if you're interested but we have an Ilkley supper club. Let me know if you'd like to join us. I live in Ben Rhydding so not so far away!
