Sorry to get you all so enthralled with my ironing, I guess you were all hoping for a funny but I have a GENUINE query. I have a Morphy Richards Jet stream Elite+ and have put the instruction book in a 'safe place' (along with LOTS of other things)!!! Well now the blue 'calc' light has started flashing and I dont know what I am supposed to do about it. Common sense tells me it needs de calcifying but I havent a clue how to do it, or what with etc. We live in a soft water area so have never needed to do this to anything before. If any of you have an instruction book for this iron or indeed any steam generating iron, could you please advise me what to do and how. Many thanks. Jewels

Hello Jae, Thank you so much for your help and information. I went onto your link, discovered what was wrong and have now got the part number that I need and the phone number to order the part tomorrow morning. I am so grateful to you. Thanks again Jewels

This has to be the most useful forum in the world - all problems solved! But now there's no excuse not to do the ironing!

Hi Valaber, That is precisely what I told OH tonight. Not that I have no excuse not to do the ironing but that the forum REALLY IS a useful tool. It has many advantages. I have learnt SOOOO much since coming on here.
