Calling all walkers in Exeter/Newton Abbot/Torbay area
      #105730 - 26/04/2008 17:01

We had our first walk today- just 2 of us! Walked along the canal in ~Exeter from Haven Banks, down past the Double Locks then back again. Coffee first on the Piazza, then lunch when we got back. Very nice. We'd love some more people to join us next time.... watch this space!

I'll second that. Extremely civilised, good food, good company, good walk and even good weather.

I would be interested in increasing your group to 3! I used to walk almost every day and felt so much better for it.

Since we moved house last year I've hibernated and only get the odd dash around town at lunchtime or a rare short stroll at weekends and I miss it so much. I live in Torquay and don't drive, but can get bus to Newton/Exeter.I used to work in Exeter and spent lots of lunchtimes around the Quays, but anywhere in the fresh air and nowhere near an ironing board suits me

I want to get fit and will be doing some 'warm-up' walks around home and swimming to get me back into it.

I don't get to the computer very day as it's in the IT Suite (actually it's the loft and requires a ladder climb!)
All the best
