Have entered Race for Life in Huddersfield (Greenhead Park) and would love to find a training partner or two!! I m reasonably fit but not brilliant at running and its my aim to run the 5k. I live just outside Holmfirth but can travel. Anyone interested?

Hi Lis, I live in reasonable travelling distance to yourself and although I haven't done any exercise for quite sometime, I am hoping to change that. I am in my mid-thirties and a busy working single mum to two young children, but I'm looking for a new challenge. I'm not sure whether I would hold you back or not. When you say your not very good a running?

Thanks very much for replying as after a lot of viewings and no replies I was beginning to think I must be the only W&H reader in the area who was keen to run!!
When would you be able to train and where? I am available some times during the day and some evenings. I only work p/t and my children are grown up and no longer live at home. I can easily get to The Sands in Holmfirth or Beaumont Park or do you have a park or suitable area near you? Maybe we should meet up and see how it goes...
