Girls Weekend

Where's a good place for a girls weekend in late November? It will be a farewell for me as I move back to Oz just before Xmas.
One of my friends suggested Bruges for the Xmas markets but I'm not sure if it will be very relaxing as we've only 2 days & we'll end up spending most of our time travelling there & back (We're in the south west of England) although it does sound really lovely.
Another idea I had was to go on a pamper weekend somewhere closer - maybe even in London.
Any ideas ladies?

Happy Wanderer, Bruge is one of my favourite cities, I'd go back at the drop of a hat, but it might be v v busy over the Christmas market period.

Got back from Bruges yesterday, Happywanderer! I've been a couple of times before and it really is a magical place! Go on the Eurostar and pay a bit extra to go 1st class. You get food, champagne and wine included so the journey is part of the holiday!

Thanks Dizee, that site was good - I would love to do the pole dancing (& my husband thought it was a particularly good idea ) but not sure how my friends would feel about it.
I think I'll look more into Bruges after your feedback Snowy & Aquarius, it sounds fabulous and 1st class on the Eurostar sounds perfect.
Thanks for your help
Happy

A pamper weekend is a great idea, or London with a night out at a show. We are off on our annual girls weekend next week and we are going on a murder mystery weekend. Have done them before and they are great fun - never managed to solve one yet though, can't think why!!!!! Hic

Have sent you a PM about your weekend!! Unfortunately it is not my turn to act but have a great time....if it is all ladies then I'm sure you will!!!!

Some of the best groups are all ladies....as they are game for anything!!!!!!!

Re: Girls Weekend

Aquarius, is Bruges easy to get around? I use a wheelchair and spent a weekend in Brussels but was disappointed with the steps everywhere. With many of the chocolate shops having steps I spent a lot of time window shopping! The Eurostar 1st class was great though!

Re: Girls Weekend

Hi all
I run a Pamper Party company that is of no use to you down there however you may find something similar to what we offer closer to you?
We are mainly busy with groups of girls (aroound 15-20)that book large cottages for the weekend (rather than a hotel)
We arrive and offer massage & beauty treatments in the cottage and so it's all lovely & cosy and giggly-girly!!
We also have naked butlers and connections with a pole dance/burlesque company so very often the weekend can be taken up with soooo many fun things that don't cost the earth and are not too far from home.
We work in Cheshire & Derbyshire so a bit far for you if you want to minimise travelling.
Have a search and see what little gems you can find!!
Claire
