CARDIFF CINEMA CLUB

Hi Everyone
I have just looked at the films for this week . I intend going to see The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas at 8 pm on Thursday September 9th. Anyone interested in joining me? The film runs for 94minutes so it wont be a late night even if it is quite late starting. The cinema is the Odeon at the Red Dragon Centre on Cardiff Bay. There is a big free carpark. Hope we can get a group together.
Have a good week everyone.
Gx

Re: CARDIFF CINEMA CLUB

Hi Gx,think you may not have had a great turn out for your cinema outing as you are a month late in asking!Never mind senior moments spring to mind!!!!!!

Whatever, sorry I cant make it (unavoidably detained in the North) but have a good evening and see you next time xx

Hiya G

Just mailing to say hello. I was plannning to put a posting on for the cinema on Saturday evening but you beat me to it. Won't come in the week as too tired after work and it is a fair way to travel. I play netball on a Thursday evening anyway. Had quite a bit on lately. Hope you enjoy the film and hope to catch up with you all soon.

Cheers
Sianie xx

Re: CARDIFF CINEMA CLUB

Hi all

Very very late saying this but I had a great time at the last supper - I seem to be quite bad at finding relevant strands on this site but I'm getting the hang of it and so hopefully will be more up to date in future

I'd love to go to the cinema on Thursday and look forward to meeting again

Mairead x

Re: CARDIFF CINEMA CLUB

Good to see you all last evening. Thanks everyone for your company. Great to see Mairead and Jeebes too. The film was thought provoking and some what harrowing. We were all taken aback at the ending. We were all very quiet on the way out. I am glad I saw it but it wasnt easy to watch. We are thinking of seeing Brideshead Revisited maybe the week after next if it is still here.Watch this space!
Enjoy your Saturday walk girls......not too much cake! and be careful near water!! Enjoy!
xx

Re: CARDIFF CINEMA CLUB

Hi G

Thanks for organising the cinema even if it was a bit traumatic. Brideshead Revisited is definitely more for me I think. I give up on serious films for a while.

Re: CARDIFF CINEMA CLUB

Yes Emptynest
I think we are on the same wave length on the choice of films and books!
Finished a book I enjoyed last night....to take my mind off the film...It was called...Things I want my Daughters to Know ...by Elisabeth Nobel.I will lend it to you....I think you will enjoy it. Neither of us have daughters but that doesnt seem to matter! x
