Re: Stirling supper club

Hello Barbara,
Many thanks for replying. I'm actually in Balfron which is actually 20 mins away from Stirling on the Glasgow side. I have family in Livingston so I know roughly where you are which is quite a distance away! Still we could always meet half way. I'll see if my post sparks any other replies, maybe from those other ladies, and we can take it from there. Thanks again, appreciate it. Julie

Re: Stirling supper club

Hi Birdy,
Were about in W.Lothian?...Would you and Jules5 be interested in going for a coffee first..just so we can check each other out?? we could meet somewhere that would suit all of us then see if we want to take it further. That's what they did at the start of the Edinburgh Supper Club.
Let me know how you feel
Barbara

Re: Stirling supper club

Hi there to all who replied. Where would be a good place to meet up for a coffee to start with? Obviously I'm the furthest out over in Stirlingshire but I can get over Edinburgh way relatively easily. Anyone any suggestions? Jules5

Re: Stirling supper club

What about Stirling town centre at the Thistle centre???
Plenty of coffee shops and very public.
Even if we just went to Costa's...if we can nab the soft seats we could bed down for the day!!!!!!!!!!
believe me when we women get talking! and it's a Forum tradition to be the last to leave!!

Stirling town centre would be good for me but it is ok for everyone else? Is daytime (between school runs for me) or a weekend better? Jules5

Re: supper clubs

What suits the majority ? day time or evening for the first meet???? I'm happy either way as I work from home most days.

Please let's get this organised....it takes more than one person chivving everyone ...we all have to get behind this to make it work
Ladies some decisions needed ... DON'T BE SHY!

Re: supper clubs

Hi, everyone.

I was looking for a supper club earlier in the year and then life overtook and I had to focus on other issues for a time.

Did you get a supper club up and running? If so I would love to join you.

Katz

Re: supper clubs

Hi everyone,
Well, let's see if we can get this thing up and running. From what everyone has said it looks like weekends are going to be best so how about a Saturday lunchtime in the next month or so? If anyone can't do a particular Saturday then say so and we'll narrow it down to one we can all do. Fingers crossed we can get something sorted. Cheers Jules5

Re: supper clubs

Saturday lunchtime it is then! Well done, Jules5 in making the decision. Are we agreed the venue as Costas as we will need to ensure we are there early to get the number of chairs/sofas we will need.

Can I suggest Saturday 4 Oct. as it is within the next 4 weeks to keep the enthusism going? Am open to changes though. Dont want to wait too long as a bit nervous, but looking forward to meeting you all.

I work Sat mornings but can be there for about 2.30 onwards...BUT that doesn't mean you can't all meet up earlier if it suits you...honest!

Re: supper clubs

Oh crickey, Oct 4 is the date of my 12-year-old daughter's birthday and I suspect we will be having a party that day. Sorry to be awkward. Maybe week before or week after? How many ladies have we got so far? Me (jules5), superbakerqueen, Katz, Jaxb65, birdy? Do the rest of you want to throw in a date and we'll try to nail it down. Jules5

Helo Julie and Barbara
I've just seen your post and replies.
I'd love to meet in Stirling but I work during the day on Saturdays so can't make the 11th.
I'm free on weekdays, and evenings depending on my husband's job. Let me know when you're meeting again.
Good luck for the 11th.

Hi Ellench and welcome. Glad to hear you are joining us.
SBQ - I know we have had a bit of a difficulty in trying to get us all together but I suppose we need to set a date and go for it! Hopefully this will be the start of more meetings and we can try different days and times to see if we can get as many as possible to come.
Looking forward to seeing everyone on the 11 Oct. Any ideas how we will recognise each other? Copies of W&H?

Hi, all! Coffee at Costas went well. It was good to meet up with you Ellench and Caroleb. SBQ sorry you could not make it but hopefully we can make some arrangements for November for the supper club.

Does anyone want to make a date? Week night or Friday night?
I don't mind? At the moment I have a pilates class on Thursday so any other night.

If we can agree which night we might all be able to make, then we could look at a date. What do you all think?

Hi all, I showed interest in meeting up then life and all its trials and tribulations caught up with me. Would love to meet up in November, I finish nightshift on the morning of the 7th so that would be a good time for me. Has anything been arranged yet. Had a few good meals in Smiling Jacks - mexican food - good margaritas.

Hi everyone.

Third attempt to send a message. Not really sure what is going on but here goes.

I can make 7.30 on 7/11.(Are you still interested Gail?) Any ideas where? I don't know many restaurants in Stirling other than Corrieris near the Wallace monument. Do we need to book a table for a Friday night? If we do we'll need to make our minds up soon.

Re: supper clubs

Stirling ladies, Hello and welcome to the forum. I will not be joining your supper club!!LOL....as you see I am a long way away. However.....I have been on the forum a while and just thought I should mention that ANYONE literally can see the planning you are doing. This is an open Forum. We have always been advised to make detailed plans using PMs so that it is all secure and private. I am not wanting to interfere of course but please accept this as a friendly message!

I do know Stirling a little as My SIL lives in Crieff and we visit annually. Lovely area! Enjoy your supper!!

Happy posting!

Mayday
