Perry your kitchen looks great, but we are diverting from the subject.

I bought one yesterday, but am wondering now whether everyone will be wearing them, I suppose with different accessories eg. brooches, scarves, etc, they will all look different.

Perry, you have a lovely kitchen...must have been before mjm came to visit though....I hear her housekeeping skills are not as good as yours....did she make a mess in you kitchen while she was there????

Hope she cleaned up after herself and didn't leave it all for you!!!!

Re: WOOL COATS AT ASDA

Thank you Girls, I love my kitchen too

MayDay, the doors came from MFI, I bought them and then we built the kitchen to fit in with them. Everything else came from all over the country.

cuppy, mjm isn't allowed in my kitchen....can you imagine the mess she would make and then leave it all for me to tidy up.

Summer, that Range took weeks and weeks to find. It had to be the perfect size to fit in the gap.

Thank you Amelia, are you better now??

Re: WOOL COATS AT ASDA

Hi there,

Well, you've started something here.

I like your kitchen v much too. We will be having our kitchen completely re-done somewhere around Feb. time. I think I'll need to leave home for a couple of weeks! We have decided to buy ours at Ikea, excellent quality and cheaper than many others..

I need a winter coat too! I was thinking of popping into Asda, perhaps I will now.

Nice to be in touch. Will let you know how I get on finding a new coat. May have to wait 'til next pay day as I bought quite a few things on Sat. Well, autumn's here and needed some new stuff

Re: WOOL COATS AT ASDA

I have seen the most gorgeous kitchen in IKEA this afternoon. It os dark wood with white work surfaces ...lovely!I have a dilema with kitchens..do I go for something very modern that will date, or do I go for a more traditional style?I would LOVE a white high gloss kitchen but don't think I could keep up witht the mucky fingerprints on all the doors!!

Re: WOOL COATS AT ASDA

Thanks Perry, My kitchen unit doors are solid wood and are not actually in bad condition so I would love to have them painted cream but need to find someone who can do it perfctly!!!!! Not me or OH! I must look into it. I need to empty out the cupboards too and have a car-boot sale! Have never really adapted to the 'empty nest' and still have lots of big dishes and such that are rarely used.

Re: WOOL COATS AT ASDA

Love the photos Perry and that jacket looks so smart on you a 'must have' and at only £15 wow great buy!!

What colour are your cabnets which by the way I love also

P.S Ladies watch out the picture pixel police are about! No warning they were just taken off! Mine were only just over the limit and they were taken off But I re sized them and added them later.

There is always something to bring one down!

Never mind I am dbverycherry

Re: WOOL COATS AT ASDA

sella, shadesoflilac, I went to Asda again today and the coats have all gone now!!!

blossom, I personally would go for traditional but that's me. It depends on the size of your room, if you have dark wood it will look smaller. High gloss gives you the feeling of space.

MayDay, you can't, you just can't paint solid wood doors, no no no.......wood is too beautiful to be painted. If you really have to, there are some companies out there that do spray doors.

Like I said the doors came from MFI, my OH built the sink unit and the carcass' to fit the doors, everything else came from all over the country. We spent hours and hours on the internet and getting samples sent to us before I decided which wood, taps, Range, lighting, sink, glass, would suit. It cost a fraction of the price of what they want in some kitchen shops.

DBVC, I think the colour of the doors is Cornflower Blue, I'm not absolutely sure though because we built the kitchen 6 years ago.

Re: WOOL COATS AT ASDA

Thanks Perry. I know what you mean about real wood.....but we have had it about 18 years and I am just bored with it now!!!! It is american oak and has lasted well. The entire kitchen came from MFI but I have replaced the worktops since then and the sink and taps etc. I just feel nice cream doors would 'lift' the kitchen. I will look into the spray situation as you suggest. I have just been putting it off as we have had lots of other things done recently.
I must push it 'up the list'!!!

Yours looks brand new....you must look after it very well.

Mayday
