Foundation

Can anyone recommend a foundation for the more mature skin shall we say, that isn't too thick but is a bit more than a tinted moisturiser. I like to look fairly natural with a slightly dewy finish. In other words I want it to make me look youthful!!!

Re: Foundation

Hi, I can highly recommend Prescriptives custom blended. They will blend it exactly to the colour of your skin tone, but also to your specification of finish & coverage you want. Its about £45 for a jar but it does last for about 6 months & you usually get a couple of little travel sizes of the overflow as well.

Hi,

Im new to forum, who stocks the Prescriptives, I live in Central Scotland,Stirling but I work in Edinburgh, I am not keen on the feel of foundation on my face, but as approaching 50 feel I need something, would it be suitable.

Re: Foundation

Aquarius,

I have been using a mineral foundation by Lily Lolo (on the recommendation of a fellow forumer) and have found it to be excellent. The coverage is better than a tinted moisturiser but very light on the skin. You can order trial sizes of the foundation to get the right shade before committing yourself to a full size pot. It is also the most long lasting foundation I have ever had in that when I remove my make up at night there is still some left to remove

Hope this helps

Fiona

Re: Foundation

Fiona, I got mine in House of Fraser, so why not try Jenners?

Re: Foundation

Hi Fiona,

Have heard of this foundation before, but been put off as I believe you have to put it on in a certain way - is that right? Someone said you had to put it on in circles????

Re: Foundation

Aquarius.
I'm a great Estee Lauder fan and have used double wear foundation for ages, but now use the new one,Resilience Lift Extreme Ultra Firm SP15. It's more radiant and glowy but covers well too.
E Laudee are very good at giving samples, so maybe you can try before you buy.
If you get some in Debenhams before Saturday 4th, they're giving away a fab free gift - a small balck shiny bag, a shiny black make up bag, a mini mascara (which is lovely) a lip stick, a mini eye shadow compact, a small bottle of Beautiful perfume and some mini skin creams.
I'm really pleased with my foundation as my skin is quite red and this seems to cover well.

Good luck!
