... that I bought a Karen Millen dress in the sales. It's a halter-neck, and really slinky, and comes to just below my saggy old knees. It was .......... £120 I bought it for ..................... £35!!! I wouldn't have bought it for the full price, but hey - you have to grab a bargain while you can. I love it. It's for Christmas, and my birthday, and any parties I can think of. Thank you for listening! BC40 xxx |

BC40 I've done it again, I may offend people with this post so I do apologise if I have. I would have deleted it if I new how, I hit the submit button instead I meant to preview it again. Please forgive me if I've been over the top, its not meant that way at all! It was only meant in fun. As I am fat and 50! Oh I'm gonna stay off for the rest of the night, I'm having a hot flush now! Snowy, I think we all know that your comment was tongue in cheek !!!! BC40 I am so jealous, what a bargain, there is a Karen Millen shop in a town not too far from me but I have never ventured in it as thought everything would be out of my price range but I may change my mind now ! |

Snowy, I don't think anyone could take offence...I'm sure we all read it as tongue in cheek. Hope the hot flush has passed from another fat and 50 (+)

Brilliant bargain BC - bet it looks fab. There's nothing like a bit of retail therapy when things haven't quite gone to plan. Hope you complained to the agency about the wild goose chase they sent you on. |

Sounds lovely - much as I really like Karen Millen - the only thing that fits me is their shoes and bags. Did have a beautiful grey fluffy jumper once, but it was quite stretchy. Am green with envy - sounds a great Christmas dress! Sorry to mention the C word in August, but it feels like November here. |

Snowy, we know you were being funny, I think we're all becoming paranoid now!!! all you have to do to delete is press edit on your post then you can change it or delete it. |

Good for you to fit into Karen Millen - I covet the clothes unfortunately the only thing I have ever been ever to buy was a bag (which absolutely love!) x |

whats up with the signature pics on this thread girls? BC40 and Autumn have the same pic - surely not or is the system going a bit wonky? |

And Verite has the same one too .... this is too confusing for so early in the morning. |

Its not a signature that they have that is the same, but an Avatar. Everyone can have the same one if they choose to, as you have very limited choice. Signature pictures are something else. pm me if you want info. Loo |

Has anyone been to the karen millen shop in Bicester village - my DIL thinks it's great. |

Oh nonononononononoooooooo - dear Snowy, I'm not offended AT ALL! it takes a lot to offend me, honestly One of the reasons I love the dress is that it covers my - let's say, my curvaceous thighs. With a halterneck bra and a pair of Spanx I'll be sorted! And it was a size 3. which = size 14. There's plenty of give for my boobs and my *rse! Big hugs cos it's Friday :-) BC40 xxx |

Sounds lovely BC40, there is a Karen Millen at Freeport here in Essex, also love her shoes and bags! |

I've always been nervous of going in - what if there's nothing in my size, what if it's all far too expensive. Maybe it's time to take a leap of faith afterall I have been back in my SIZE 14 trousers and skirts this week (sorry, I'm so pleased to see some of my old favourites again I can't help SHOUTING about it). I'll be quiet now. Time for Eastenders... |

Thanks BC40 for explaining the sizes in Karen Millen. There is a KM shop locally but it's not a shop I feel comfortable in. There is a security guard on the door and all the assistants stand around and just look at you. I like to be greeted with a smile and "can I help you?". OK I admit it, I am turning into my mother!!! The Coast shop next door is really friendly and welcoming and I have bought several things there. Perhaps we should arrange a KM forum group and visit on mass! |

Excellent idea, Foxie! I would only go in there in the sales, tho - I bought the dress in Chester, and it was the '70% sale' sign that really drew me in! I bought the most lovely shrug to go with it, just in case it gets a bit chilly - New Look, £14. I can wear it with some of my sleeveless tops, either casual or smart - my clothes have to earn their keep! BC40 xxx |
