Knickers!

Can anyone recommend a good online shop for lingerie please? I've got three summery tops that need something under them as they're fairly see-through. One's pale grey, one pale green and the other cream. I think I really need a pretty strapless basque or a body as I'd need a bra under a camisole to keep everything under control and think there would be too many straps showing. Every shop I've looked in either has black (no good) or cream (too weddingy), if there are any summery colours they only seem to be in skinny sizes and I've got a few curves to keep under control. Thanks girls...

Chrissi

Christina

have you looked at figleaves, they do lots of nice ranges in all sorts of sizes. I haven't used them for a while but when I did they had an excellent returns policy too.

Re: Knickers!

Christina I know you said you don't want a camisole as you feel there would be too many straps showing. However both myself and my daughter use camisoles for the same purpose as yours. We go to M and S and they do some really nice stretchy ones in a big variety of colours for about £3.50 each. We both wear them over a bra with tops that need something underneath. They have a little bit of elastane in them and work quite well. We have them in the usual nude black and white but also blue green yellow pink purple etc. Might be worth a try as not too expensive if it doesn't work

Re: Knickers!

Chrissi, I buy 'nude' underwear for use under light or see through garments. It goes with everything. In my favourite brand, Fantasie, the colour is often called sunkissed, which is so much more appealing than flesh-toned!! You can buy smooth bras for use under T-shirts so the lace doesn't show through and it looks as if your not wearing anything. Once you know your size a great online place for underwear is ebay. Lots of online stores and power sellers, and you can buy it for much less than in the shops. Sometimes it's seconds, or a discontinued line but I don't mind that.

Re: Knickers!

M&S do some nice supportive underwired bodies in black, cream, white or nude.

I think they also do "secret support" camisoles.

I would try there, or John Lewis.

I agree dizeeblonde, I have several from M&S and they are really good as they don't add bulk either. They were doing some that had a little bit of lace at the top but i can't find them anymore.

Re: Knickers!

I got some nice camisoles last year from Monsoon and also Phase Eight, with lace at the top. Strangely enough I am panicking as I need my black one to go under a dress and can't find it...

Re: Knickers!

To list of places to find nice camisoles online would add Bella di Notte - particularly their Lorena and Sorrento lacy ones with broad straps (rather oddly to be found under 'Italian Outerwear' on their site). I've had these in several colours and find them excellent.

Re: Knickers!

I would suggest you give Bravissimo a try.....they have the most pretty underwear.

Re: Knickers!

I eventually found what I wanted in a little shop near work. The only M&S stuff I found that fitted was functional rather than pretty (ok, no lines under a t-shirt but not exactly feminine). I'll try some of your ideas though.

Thanx

Re: Knickers!

figleaves.com, maxcleavage.com or La Senza (is it z or s?) has an online shop too.
