DAY 458 - Going green!

Hi Everyone!

I've just been out in the garden and have been looking at the rocket and spinach I planted earlier this year. It made me think of how much I've been enjoying them in salads.

I am determined that my salads won't be just one boring type of lettuce in future, I will use a mixture of lettuce and also cress, rocket, spinach and endive. I also like cucumber either sliced, diced or cut into chunks.

What's your favourite salad mix?

Foxie x.

Morning Foxie..............first have a great day shopping.

I love all salad stuff but have to say I am not very adventurous with the lettuce etc. Sometimes buy a bag of mixed lettuce leaves but that is about it.

My favourite is beetroot............. I just love it freshly cooked and gone cold and then with a lovely tasty salad. Scrummy. Usually grow a lot and put it in jars to get me through winter but this year has been a disaster with salad stuff and other veg. Life got in the way.

Morning Foxie and Thimble

This is a strange mix that I discovered years ago on the RC diet, grated carrot mixed with sultana's on a bed of salad.

It really is worth trying, especially when using up bits of salad and have nothing to go with it - scrummy

So that makes me green with a touch of orange
