Coffee

We're searching for a good cup of real coffee and have bought a percolator. In the last two weeks I've tried 7 different blends of coffee ranging from medium roast to strong rich roast and have been disappointed with them all. Whether I use a full pot of water with a full measure of coffee or less water with a full measue of water, I still get a weak cuppa. Frankly, I prefer my Kenco Rich Roast for strength and flavour! So, the question is: am I doing something wrong or can anyone recommend a really strong, full flavoured coffe to try? Ta muchly.

Re: Coffee

I think you may need to put more than one measure of coffee into the percolator. I use a fairly small percolator.....two cups, but I put almost three measures of coffee into it.....I like it strong and black! I use mainly Taylors of Harrogate ...buy it in Asda.I like their Lazy Sunday especially. I am also using Asda own Extra Special Columbian Fairtrade coffee. It is labelled medium 3 and you can use it in most coffee machines.
hope you find one you like .Im awfully fussy about coffee!!

Re: Coffee

Thanks for that, GraceRJ. I usually fill the coffee thingy up to the top so I can't put any more in...I've tried one Taylors of Harrogate and it wasn't bad... funny enough the first two coffees we used were labelled 3 and they were stronger than the 5 I've just used...

Re: Coffee

Oooh, that sounds nice...

Am disappointed that the expensive ground coffees that we've bought (7 packs so far) haven't been as nice as the instant! But I'll give your way a go...
