Penpals

Hi W & H people!
I posted a message earlier today about penpals and the response has been overwhelming - probably more than I can cope with on my own! There are obviously lots of people who would like to corrspond with other people on a more personal basis. Would it be possible to set up some sort of forum or database with the details of people who want to be involved so that they can find each other?!
Thanks!

Re: Penpals

Ditto the above. If enough people 'sign up' on this thread maybe they'll take notice.

For anyone who hasn't seen, quite a few people who would like a penpal have posted their detais on my original thread called 'pen'friends, so you may find your new best friend on there!

Re: Penpals

Hi all,
I think it's a lovely idea that you want to become penpals. It's fantastic that you're meeting on our forums and becoming friends. However, we cannot set up a specific function to manage this. The best thing is to carry on as you are - expressing your interest in becoming penpals on the forum and then swapping personal details via PM.

Please make sure that you don't reveal your addresses and personal details within your posts, just via PM.

Thanks
Pippa

Re: Penpals

Hi

Excellent idea

I receive the Woman & Home out here in NZ, and this is the first time I have joined a chat forum - so am most interested in the old penpal thing - sort of like the old days - could be fun. Great way to meet new friends, have a laugh.

Re: Penpals

I have been corresponding regularly with another forum member and it's really nice. If anyone else, either in Spain or elsewhere wants to write I'm happy to correspond.

Re: Penpals

Great idea. I haven't seen your thread called Pen Friends. Can you guide me in the correct direction to it.

I would love to have some pen friends. Now that I have retired I have loads of time.

Would appreciate advice on where I can find those that replied to your great thread.

Hi Piglet

I am already emailing somebody in NZ. Met her on a cruise a few years ago. We have a really good laugh at the things we get up to. One day we are going to meet up again !!

Hello jillinspain

I am sitting here looking out of the window and wondering what your weather is like in Spain now. The wind is howling here and it looks ready for rain. Typical - it is the Bank Holiday weekend.

I live in South Wales, UK, having moved here seven years ago from Bristol. I miss the kids and grandchildren, so a pen friend would be lovely.

Where is Spain do you live.

Re: Penpals

Hi Patdock

Sorry to say it's a bit cloudy today but was lovely yesterday. Still warm enough to sit outside today -it's currently 21 degrees. No BH here just a normal week without any fiestas which makes a change . I live about 35 mins from the coast in Almeria province - very desert like. No one to miss in the UK.

Just pm me if you or anyone else wants to chat more.
