Something for the weekend.
|
|
I am really interested to know how the decisions are made about which films to suggest to us all. What process is gone through and what makes a film good enough to be included in this section of the magazine?

I would be interested too Lynne. Often the reviews bear no relation to reviews in other publications, where an uncritical review in W & H receives a slating everywhere else. It seems to me that the reviews are just reproductions of the promotional material for the film.

I agree FionaD. What a waste of space and could have a been an ideal place for a bigger photos and more information on our newer forum members or longer term lovely ladies instead Great to see George Clooney got a whole two page Now he would do nicely for my entertainment for the whole weekend and beyond
See my new topic on beauty find 100 favourite beauty finds article under the magazine feed back section of the forum.

I love going to the cinema and would rather watch a film on TV than anything else..........enjoy all sorts of film for a variety of different reasons..........and am truly interested about how W&H select the films for us.....is the selection made on demographic data about readership etc etc etc ? I listened to a fascinating radio broadcast on R4 last friday afternoon about film and reviews and reviewers....wonder if any people on the forum would be interested in reviewing the films suggested by W&H , giving feedback on our experience......?I think it would be interesting to see if W&H are suggesting films that are really enjoyable and appreciated by us , their readers. Anyone feel like going to see the film suggested in this months mag?

Love films, more than happy to review anything I can get hold of out here. What was in the mag this month - not managed to get it yet?

Love in the time of cholera...........
Ghastly, dreadful acting, Spanglish accents like the worst sit com you could ever imagine.....so so bad, very poor makeup ...no sense of which ageas the characters are supposed to be playing.........
Not a good choice at all
