Have just finished reading this heartrending book. Has anyone out there read it, love to know what you thought of it.

I loved it until the final chapter, which was too neat for my liking. But love his use of language.

Great book, read it in two nights. Agree with you marieoh that the ending is a bit pat in what was otherwise a brilliant read. Barry's use of language is superb. I'm from the west of Ireland, it made me want to dash up to Sligo to see the places he talks about in the book.
