Happy New Year! West Lothian + Book/Supper Club!!!!!!

Hello Ladies,
How are you all doing?! Everyone back to normal?? or are you like me?...still feeling bloated and wacked! well no sympathy Ha ( I've still got my Birthday tomorrow!!!! before I can start the diet!) hubbies not getting off lightly
Well I'm sure when we left the last meeting the date suggested for this month was 13th in Falkirk...???? is this still ok? Any suggestions of where in Falkirk??
Birdy are you able to make it this time (hope you got hubby to put the decorations back up the loft ( don't want a repeat of last time!)....

Not had time to get book yet so have not read it !
What do others think of next date and venue ?
I'm ok with Falkirk but not sure about the date - also would that be in the evening?

Not heard from the others...so far and yes I think evenings suit the other ladies as their working during the day.
You could borrow my book if you like as I've read it!!!!

Hi SBQ & Birdy, I have been away from the forum for a bit, so thought I had missed the 13th but it seems that it did not happen from what I can see. I put a post in the other message list as well but it seems to have gone very quiet.
I did not get time to read the last book, even though I bought it, so don't mind going for the same book or another if it is agreed. If we want to get together again we can look at a date and place and try to get something arranged.
Belated birthday wishes, SBQ, hope it was a good one!

Sorry I haven't been on the forum for a while. Life has been a little hectic.
I'm still up for meeting again. How about early February? If we are meeting in Falkirk the Beancross Farm is quite near to the motorway. There is also a newish restaurant, La Banca which is a tapas bar right in the centre fairly near to BTW. Any of these suit?

Must admit I'm finding the book a struggle - did not realise it was science fiction. I have never read a science fiction book in my life and hate Sci Fi films!
However I will persevere

Feb 10&11, 17&18? I'm available from 7.30 on the first two dates but can make it a little earlier on the last two.

Hello Ladies
I can make any of these dates however IF i had to chose I'd go for Wed 11th as I feel it's been sooooo long since we met up! as for venue The Beancross is really central to the motorway but I'm happy to go into Falkirk if that's better for others.....I aim to please!!!!
Sorry Birdy, your finding the book difficult
It was recommended to me by my daughter....got to say it's not one I'd have chosen in the book shop as I'm more of a crime/thriller sort of a person but weeeeeeeell you live and learn!Anyway that's my choice over.....(Thank the Lord I hear you say) so now the rest of you get to choose.....are we going to put a book name into a draw??

The Beancross Farm seems to be a venue that suits some of us. Can we find a date that suits this month? I think we need to do something soon as we are in a bit of the doldrums.

How has this weather affected you all?....I've still got about 4" still lying in my garden!...'though roads are clear

Yes I can make the 11th - I am helping my son move into his new flat in Glasgow but should be back late afternoon - not too sure where Beancross is tho!

Hi Birdy,
If you head down the Bathgate hills towards the M9 you come to the Lathallen Roundabout and you take the slip road onto the motoreway heading to Glasgow, but it's only for about a mile as you take the next slip road off which is signposted for Falkirk and Grangemouth,keep to the left hand lane and head as if for Falkirk ...only about a quarter of a mile as you will see Klondyke Garden Centre on your left and The Beancross is on your right...it used to be a farm....OR if you'd rather I could pick you up...I don't mind.
