Book Review: 'Sparkles', by Louise Bagshawe

'Sparkles' is chick lit with a twist. The mysterious Pierre Massot, head of Paris' most prestigious jewellery firm is, although absent for most of it, at the heart of this delicious drama. Where there is exquisite jewellery and powerful men there will always be women, some who will stop at nothing to get what they want. It seems diamonds really are a girl's best friend but can any jewel outshine true love and what lurks beneath the glitz and the glamour? Mouthwatering melodrama that will keep you hooked until the not so bitter end.

I have read this book and enjoyed it as a light easy read. I find this author to be in a similar mode to Penny Vincenzi, although younger in style and not so absorbing as a plot deviser.
