Is there a walking club in Shorne, Kent Area?

Hi,
I want to start improving my fitness and wondered if anyone knew of a walking club in Shorne, Kent area. Also, if anyone could advise what to expect, and how to build up to join one. Do I sound totally ignorant, well that sounds about right, I am totally new to the concept, not walking, just the club part! Wish me luck!
I could do with new trainers though! LOL.
