Re: walking club Manchester area

Hi Marie

I run Outdoor Girls and a large number of our members are from Sale/Altrincham so this may be good for you?
We have over 340 members from this area - all ages & abilities and we walk once a month with lots of social events and activities thrown in!
I'm sure that you would find something that you could join in with
Our next walk is on Sunday 25th January and is ideal as it's Sale Water Park & surrounding area.

Joining is just £5 for the year and all walks are free (unless a special guided walk)

Re: walking club Manchester area

Hi Claire
I'm interested in joining a walking group in Manchester. About how many people go (all women?), what ages, what walks do you do...? Sorry if all this information is on your website but i'm having trouble with my pc and it's v v slow, so I don't want to embark on another website unless I need to!!
I'm in my 40s, live in south Manchester, don't drive, love walking...

Re: walking club Manchester area

Hi there

We usually have around 30-40 on our monthly walk and all women (and a few kids sometimes!)
It's a great way to meet new people as everybody chats with everybody else so you won't bw made to feel like a new member - people are joining all the time so there's always new ladies in the group.
We have all ages from 18-72 currently, and there's a really good mix right through the ages.
We walk in and around our area (North West) so coming up we have Sale Water Park, Marbury, Chatsworth and New Mills.
The monthly walks are usually around 5 miles and quite an 'easy' level - sometimes there are some hills to negotiate!
We also have some extra walks added that are longer and more strenuous and these will always be clearly described!

I hope that answers your questions but if you have anymore please just ask

Claire

New to the site, so would appreciate some more help on the walking clubs. How do I find out what time and some more details about the club. It sounds just what I have been looking for, getting out and meeting people and some exercise.

Thanks Claire for your reply and the info. It all sounds good!I've been to the outdoorgirls website too. I'm finding this forum a bit difficult to find my way around, sorry if this should be a 'pm'(I've just found out what that means!) but I can't work out how to do that!
