Hi Sue Don't get excited I am miles away in Canterbury Kent but I put a message in for anyone interested in dog walking in the area or by the sea as we are nearby but only 2 people who are in different areas but who would have loved to have joined me replied.Like you I am a bit disappointed but maybe not too many people in our areas are into this forum thing yet.Your message rang a bell with me as I am right out in middle of fields with donkeys sheep and chickens to talk to (not mine!)I have a 2 year old black lab and also crash out in front of tv many eves of the week. Also feel that sometimes would like to meet others for a drink/meal/chat but don't want to be organised! Anyway good luck to you! Clover |

Hi Sue Thanks for your reply, glad you have had some good responses.Had to leave it till today to reply as rather busy with ensuite bathroom and downstairs loo having been ripped out and lots of bodge-ups discovered and job taking far longer than hoped (always the way isn't it?).Then there are all the complications of things that have been ordered not arriving and then when they do they are the wrong things or sizes-enough to drive you bananas!I am trying to catch up on things and then prepare lunch before we pop down to the pub.Have a good Sunday! Clover (although that is name I registered with really I am Jill!)x |

Hi Jill sorry took so long for me to reply have been in London with my daughter , hope all your work is going well ! we just had kitchen done and whilst the guys were great on time , good work etc I still found it hard going and still got light hanging off live wire over sink (not sure that is safe ??) and now we are "cut off " in village AGAIN due to flood water , I am just so grateful we are not that near to river but all roads leading out are under water , (at least means can't get to dentist today !!) keep in touch Sue X |

Hi Sue Sorry to hear about the flooding your way-it's miserable isn't it and no real cure it would seem for people who do live very near rivers-and who will ever want to buy those houses?Talking of dentist I have been quite lucky for a few years but last time he found 2 teeth needing a lot of work £600!No one is NHS round here don't know about your area-my work starts 22 Sept. not looking forward to it but I just have to think-consider the alternative...... Nice to be able to pop down to see your daughter in London-I have two daughters one has been to Uni and Drama school and has done some acting is always doing 'filling in' jobs whilst looking for acting work-terrible life really but she won't give up.This a.m. my husband had to get up at 4.45a.m. to take her to station for her to go up to London for a training day for another 'fill in' job! This week I had a reply from someone who thinks she may be able to come dog walking with me-surprise!Well better get going-speak soon. Hi again sorry for late reply have been in Northumberland for a week , dogs all worn out and me ! (think its my age !) anyway all back to housework and usual stuff today cant get going though these forums are so addictive and do love a "virtual" natter (or any kind for that matter !) do wish we lived nearer to each other think we have lots to natter about in person as it where ! sorry think have missed the forums we don't have so much as land line in Northumberland !! Do hope all well with you and your family , youngest daughter (Theatre one ) rang to say she has tummy bug and could she come over - hell no thank you last thing I need - feel so sorry for her but I have huge phobia of anything uuk related can do blood , injury anything but that !! Think she was joking really just felt so ill but at least the boyfriend is there mopping her brow . Eldest daughter just got new job so will be working back in central London, which again freaks me out but its the job she has always wanted so am happy for her . Oh well best get back to scrubbing etc am so not in the mood . hope hear from you again Sue X |

Hiya Glad you enjoyed your break in Northumberland-our neighbour comes from there and they have a holiday home up there-perhaps we should go sometime the scenery looks beautiful. We seem to be so busy all the time as does everyone else I suppose but I always remember my mother lying on the sofa reading her library book and eating iced caramels when I got in from school!I'm working towards that. It's a lovely day here so should get the dog out-never did hear back from the person who thought she would like to go on a few doggy walks with me perhaps for best I don't like to feel committed like my freedom but that does mean sometimes I use my freedom to do nothing! Got to take actress (resting/casual working)daughter to work to morrow and we have an European Market on for 3 days in Canterbury so will will wander round for a while before she goes in to work in afternoon.Hope your daughter is feeling better and your other daughter is enjoying her new job.Have a good week end! hi hope you enjoy Canterbury sounds lovely with the market etc all manic here and know what you mean about giving up freedom , I do like my own company - have met some lovely people due to this forum have to say (in real life and virtual !!) on the whole am doing ok juggling dog walks and having some me time although I don't work the weeks always seem to be full - always feel better after good dog walk ie dogs not going on whole different walk to me !! the rescue cocker has started just bolting off down random paths and on occasion she takes an age to come back , she is loving life with us and think she is just bit mad with freedom ! have started to blow a loud whistle which is making me deaf - but does seem to have the right effect in that she comes charging back . shame the lady didn't come back to you about dog walking , keep at it am sure there is someone in your area that will get in touch , I did join a dog forum both cockers and setters and have met some nice ladies that walk with now . re Northumberland - we go at least every 8 weeks or so , so if you ever decide to go maybe we could meet up ? we also have little house there so we just decide some weeks that we are going for weekend (hell of long way 4hours drive ) but we just flop and walk dogs on beach sometimes we don't drive again until time to go home we have been going to that area for many years and love the area and its very dog friendly !! so who knows may see there one day !! sorry this turning into book !!! hope to see speak soon Sue X |

Hiya Just got inside in time to escape another deluge!Took the dog over the fields this am but just now took him in garden (which is part of a field purchased from the farmer by the previous owners)I've got one of those long 'ball thrower' contraptions expect you've got one.Really gives him a good workout, send him all over the place till I send the ball over the hedge or over our roof!Eldest daughter has gone up to London this pm to do one of her other jobs (sounds a bit shady-not though!)She was saying she may have met you daughter if she works at the theatre in Lichfield when she was ASM on one of the tours that went there. She said the company probably wasn't very popular as it was an Ian Dickens tour with Todd Carty (from Eastenders)She said all the staff at the theatre were really nice though.Small world isn't it?Well I must go and get on with some ironing in front of telly Flog It or a terrible film!Oh-by the way how did you join a dog forum perhaps I should give it a go?Also it is poss to do PM's as they call personal messages do you do that on this forum? Our little chats are open to all who visit our posts(?) someone else asked me to send a pm-it was that lady who never replied-perhaps something went terribly wrong with my PM ? Oh well Flog It here I come. Bye for now Jill x |

Hiya again well think you send message on reply rather than quick reply and then it somehow ? goes to your email address ? have had few like that but am on so many forums now do get easily confused as to how each one work !! Katie was at Garrick in Lichfield when Todd Carty was there . Re the dog forums I googled breed specific i. e. Cocker Spaniel or English Setter , there is a general Dogclub site think its www.dogclub.co.uk did meet very young lady there and it was more of haul through over grown woods than a walk bit creepy and did not arrange another walk !! she was only 16 and think was bit unwise to meet me at such odd place ( have to say didn't know it was odd until got there ) I was not happy !! but felt should stay with her as she was so young and alone (what her parents thinking have no idea !) but have done several walks now with some really nice "normal" ladies daughters very concerned about me meeting strange people in the middle of cannock chase etc but so far so good !! think will stick with the ones have met so far as getting a little snowed under and confused with when where and who !(although always remember the dogs names !)Hope you get hang of PM , may send you one see if it works .
