Fife Walking Club (A Call to Arms)

I propose Saturday 17th May for our next meet, 10.30 again?
Now come on you lot and regale me with lots of suggestions re. prefered destinations. My knowledge of Fife walks is poor given that I don't hail from this part of the country. All suggestions welcome. (but keep them clean)

Re: Fife Walking Club (A Call to Arms)

Hi Jammie. Count me in. I still like the Aberdour walk but otherwise how about another part of the coastal walk or even Beveridge Park in Kirkcaldy. There's also a walk just past Beveridge Park off the road to Auchertool which is signposted but which I've never walked - would probably have to reccy it first to find out what it's like.

Keep walking!

Hi everyone
East Wemyss to Dysart is lovely or Leven to Lower Largo....
Both have refreshments at either end!

I liked the sound of the Loch Leven walk. There's a lovely farmshop/restaurant at the end of it. The three things I like most of all, walking, good food and shopping, all rolled into one day. Of course this may take more time than everyone wishes to spend. Which begs the question, how long is too long?

Hi Dulcie, welcome to Fife Walking Club. I'd be glad to count you in on the 17th as will everyone I'm sure. Do you have a particular preference for where you'd like to walk? All suggestions are very welcome.

Re: Fife Walking Club (A Call to Arms)

Hi everyone, time's moving on and need to choose our destination. So could you all vote on it and let me know your preference between:
Aberdour(Daffodil Walk)
Beveridge Park to Auchtertool
East Wemyss to Dysart
Kinross to Loch Leven
Leven to Lower Largo
Lochore Meadows
Either post on this thread or PM me. We'll go with the majority decision.

Hi Everyone,

I do not really mind where we walk. Kinross to Loch Leven would be my choice if we must vote. Could someone please PM me as I am still having trouble opening some pages on the W&H site (it takes ages). Thank you.

Hope to meet you all on Saturday.

PS Dulcie,

I sent you a PM(private message) a few days ago, just struck me that maybe you don't know how to access. Just scroll up to the top of this page and click on Check Messages, from there you can access any PMs and send replies.
Hope you can make it tomorrow.

Re: Fife Walking Club (A Call to Arms)

Hi all

Fife Walking Club undertook their second walk today (all three of us) but it's quality not quantity, right?
St Andrew's Angela, Mademoisell9 and I did a brisk two hour walk round Loch Leven followed by a very nice lunch and lots of chat. The weather held up for us too.
Hope you all had a good day and hope to see you all at the next walk.

Hi to the three intrepid walkers! Guess you feel pretty fit now! Well done on your circuit of Loch Leven.

Was in Edinburgh today and guess who was there this afternoon??? - Gok with 'Gok's Clothes Roadshow'!! Seems just as much fun and just as down-to-earth etc as on his TV show.

See you all next time?

Hi Treetops

Bet you're glad you just happened to be in Edinburgh today, you weren't tempted were you? ie. how to look good naked.

Look forward to seeing you next time.

Re: Fife Walking Club (A Call to Arms)

Thank you Jammie and Standrewsangela for a very enjoyable walk around Loch Leven and lunch afterwards. Very nice meeting you!

Went walking again on Sunday -Lomond Hill (East) and clocked up another 14 miles! I am participating in the Maggie's Walk in Glenrothes (Lomond Centre)which is a half marathon (10 miles) on June 7th so I need to get my fitness levels up.

Hope to meet more of you on the day of our next walk.

Keep on walking!

Re: Fife Walking Club (A Call to Arms)

I am interested in joining your walking club. However as I do not work I would prefer to walk on weeekdays. Do any of the members walk during the week? I live in Aberdour. Last year I walked West Highland Way but have done little walking since then.

Re: Fife Walking Club (A Call to Arms)

Hi Martise

Nice to hear from you and you are most welcome to join our club. We haven't done much walking lately, mainly because quite a few of us have been on holiday or, in my own case, looking after my school age son. I hope to organise a group walk next month once school holidays etc. are over.
I will also then be available to walk during week so will get back to you then. Maybe some of the other girls can meet up with you in the meantime.Hope so.

Jammie
