I am reading Manda Scott's book about Boudica (dreaming the eagle) it is the first of a trilogy, I love reading about strong women whether from the past or current. I agree with ExpatK I really enjoyed reading The Island. Did not want it to end!! Always the good sign of a book. Just read Sheila Hancock's book on her life with John Thaw - The two of us. Looking forward to reading her new book about her life after John. Two good books to read The book Thief and Shadow of the wind - really get your teeth into books. Sara xxx |

That's interesting ExpatK - I've been waiting for that to come out in paperback, I really enjoyed The Island and was hoping her new one would be as good. ![]() I will probably get it anyway! At the moment by my bed is Alan Bennett's Untold Stories - very good. And next on the list is the 3rd in Paullina Simons trilogy - The Summer Garden. The first 2 were brilliant, I am looking forward to finding out more about Tatiana and Alexander!

Dawn French's "Dear Fatty" - which is written in the form of letters to the various people in her life. Don't like the format as it doesnt read like a story but i've just started it so we've see what happens. For a great fiction read - Tess Gerritsen's "The Bone Garden". I couldnt put it down! Fenton |

Dreaming of the bones by Deborah Crombie, just recently got into her books and so enjoying them. Expat, your comment about The Return is interesting as it took me a while to get into it but found I could not put it down once I got my head round it. I agree though not as good as The Island. |
