Xmas pressies

Well as there are so many threads about Xmas...

Whe I was little, well about 10, I remember our minister giving a sermon about Xmas being Jesus' birthday. And on your birthday, you get presents. So we should all give a present to Jesus on his birthday.

I've never forgotten that, and I still do it. It's not about money, or giving money to charity (though that is okay sometimes) it's about doing something.

In the past I've done all sort of things. When my son was born and in the special care unit, I knitted hats and bootees for premature babies. I've made cakes for the senoir citizens xmas party. As a family, we "adopted" a child in Africa.

So, what Xmas present will you give Jesus this year?

Re: Xmas pressies

What a lovely post wispa...I try to help people all year round just by giving my time,3 days ago I gathered up all my brown pennys & counted them,I had £12 and walked into town & gave them to a homeless charity,it was my good deed for the day so to speak...one thing I would love to do is invite a homeless person to my home for Christmas but dont really know how to go about it...Stella your post brought tears to my eyes...
