A rainy day newbie

Hi all. Another new girl here, feeling a bit lonely and bored so thought I'd join in the fun here.
I live out in France, have 3 kids (ages 11, 17 and 19) who don't need me to entertain or occupy them anymore on a rainy Sunday and OH who works in the UK has just left for the week so here I am!

Welcome Welcome acoustic.

I myself only joined on Thursday, and I love it.

Be warned, it is totally addictive..... really it is.

Everyone is lovely, and in a few hours you will be posting away like there is no tomorrow.

Hi acoustic and welcome to the forum.

Wow, rain in France and blue skies in Aberdeen? That doesn't happen very often!

Re: A rainy day newbie

Thanks for the welcome. I played guitar when I was young but stopped over 20 years ago and forgot about it. Never thought to mention it to OH or kids until it came up in conversation last year, so they bought me one for christmas. My fingers are a lot stiffer these days so struggle with some chords but it's slowly coming back but I do sound like Phoebe from friends atm!

Re: A rainy day newbie

Welcome....I am amazed also about your weather compared to ours...I have sat in the garden in a t-shirt reading Paul O'Grady's Book all afternoon and have even got a bit of colour on my face!! My cat has been curled up on my knee and was really annoyed when I decided I would have to come in to do something either carry on with the washing or start tea.....

Have fun on the forum....next week will be interesting when we all post about our York weekend...

Cerys xx
