Hi I am new to this forum, so just having a good read round.. We also have stayed in Argegno, it was fabulous, went for 10 days..Went to Bellagio, Menaggio, Como, went to the village Pigra at the top of the mountains,,drove to Switzerland, you name it we did it. Also spent days in Argegno itself. You must go to Cafe Columbo in the Square, it is brilliant and the restarant next door, it is owned by the same people, and they are all lovely. Try Happy Hour in Columbo, from about 6 pm, its fab, with free food too!! There is a little food shop, stand with your back to the sea, in the square, there is a Gelato shop on the left, then a little clothes shop and a gift shop and straight in front of you is the shop, sells bread meats cheeses, al lot of things. the other little shop that someone mentioned is a bit difficult to find, unless you make your way through the little alleys. You will find the passenger ferries great, they take you from village to village, from Como up to the top, not sure of the name. It is Fabulous!!
