Thanks for the link desperatehousewife. I used to spend every summer surfing at Polzeath and haven't been for 30 years! I am going to ask OH if we can get down there this Autumn. BTW, did you know that the poem "For the Fallen" was written by Laurence Binyon on the cliffs at Polzeath in 1914 (I think). The 4th stanza is so well known... "They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them. " |
