We had a lovely holiday in Cuba we stayed in the keys cant remember how to spell it something like quayo Guillamo. It was across a bridge on the peninsular. Very quiet but you could do excursions We went to a lake where we we into the mangroves by boat to look at wild life also visited a defunct sugar factory. everywhere we went we were greeted with music.We didnt visit Havana as it was too far but you could split your holiday and spend a few days there if you wished.
The hotel ( Iberostar?) was good all inclusive. Fantastic for cocktails! they were a bit Lacking in some areas Towels werent wonderful and they needed more sunbeds but it is a few years since we went.Outside of the resorts people are quite poor and life is very different to what we're used to. Some people take school and medical supplies Basic ones to give away to schools and clinics in the villages.
The sea is so wonderful let us know if you decide to go.
