Went last November for a few days to stay with Rick! Padstow is a nice little place for a wander - quite a few unusual shops. Rick's cafe was great and reasonable to eat at. His Seafood Restaurant is worth a visit - the staff and ambience really made it. The kids can adopt a lobster at the National Lobster Hatchery on the Padstow Quay!! Port Isaac is very small and quaint. Again a walk down to the village itself. I would avoid Boscastle. Very damp and creepy we thought. Thrives on stories of witchcraft etc although worth looking at the flood before and after. St Ives was fab out of season. Eden Project worth a look but some people prefer Lost Gardens of Heligan. |
