Well, we have just returned from 2 weeks in Sunny Beach, Bulgaria. It was not the greatest holiday, too commercialised!! It is just a resort for tourists from UK and Germany with lots of shops full of tat (rubbish goods made in Taiwan and China). Pubs/restaurants trying to get you into their premises with offers of happy hour, two for one drinks/cocktails! The weather was not good first week but second week was lovely. Too many brit's on "all inclusive" who do nothing but drink and complain "breakfasts are geared for the Germans". We just read books and rested most of the time, had few walks. Luckily we went end of season, not too many 18 - 30's age group there. After seeing what they post on U tube! it seems to be like Ibiza in the summer season! People said that Nessebar was nice, so we went there for the day, just more tat shops. Would not go there again, but might go to Sofia one day. Don't do Sunny Beach, just go to blackpool instead!! Not my kind of holiday. |
