Hi, We went to Rome September 2007,and had a great time.
Our first day we went on the Hop on - Hop off Bus,we have found this facility useful in previous City breaks,it starts off from outside the Termini Station. We visited the Coliseum,St Peter's Square and the Trevi Fountain. We also did a lot of walking,so nice comfortable shoes are recommended. We visited the Spanish Steps,and walked up to the upper level and into the Pincio Gardens. In these gardens there is a very interesting Water Clock. There is an excellent view across the rooftops to the Vatican from the entrance to the gardens. On one of our many walks we found the Palazzo del Freddo said to be one of the finest Ice Cream Parlours in Rome. We tried it,wonderful.
