The one just off the M5 in Taunton isnt too clever - there was a "lady of the night" touting for business outside entrance!

The one on the A14 between Bury st Edmunds and Ipswich was really good and if you have a room at the back, not too noisy.

We booked into the one in Milton Keynes for the night and left soon after arrival - was a bit like a doss house and I think probably popular with the stag night members. Booked into Holiday Inn Express in the town which was really clean and efficient - and you get a better than expected buffet breakfast.

Agree they are a lottery and great idea to list good and bad experiences on here. That being said, have also stayed in some pretty grotty 3 and 4 star hotels! Avoid like the plague the Newby Bridge hotel in the Lake District - impressive website but makes Faulty Towers look like the Ritz. A really horrible experience.
