I know what you mean, I used to use the same mobile hairdresser for about 29 yearsa and then went with her to her own salon until about 3 years ago, it was in a different town so too far to keep going.
Since then been a bit scared but tried a few different places. They seem to do it how they want it, had it cut too short last year, took ages to grow back. My hair is thick, but fine and always seems to go it's own way.
Didn't dare go for about 4 months until built up courage to go somewhere else. But now still trying to find somewhere, tried a new salon in the town where I work, did not like the way they had it cut it at first , as only wanted a trim but short again!! but quite like it now so feel I may go back to the same place again.
