Your GP is not the only way you can get this gel. Usually you would be referred to a Consultant Dermatologist who would prescribe it for you when the diagnosis is made. Many GPs send you to a skin department if they are not sure of the nature of the "freckle" first. Obviously the gel will only work on solar keratoses.
