I don't tip my hairdresser as he is part owner but I do the hairwasher (anything from Ł2 - Ł5). I've been with this particular hairdresser since before he set up on his own. When I had my biopsy op my hair was all matted and absolutely disgusting I couldn't wash it myself, went along to hairdressers without an appointment asked if they could fit me in for a wash only. They not only washed and blow dried it but the salon owner wouldn't let me pay and the girl who washed my hair wouldn't take a tip either. I feel an extra special tip next time I go. I don't tip the person who waxes my eyebrows etc but at Christmas I do give her Ł20.
