When the minimum wage was introduced the salon I was using at the time put up a notice apologising for the price increasing and saying it was due to the necessary wage increases. I saw an advertisement for the same salon quoting an annual salary of Ł25K.

Considering what it now costs to go to the hairdresser I think I pay enough without a tip on top. If i'm happy with the service I go back, if not I find somewhere else.
