Hi Ladies, Just wondered if anyone else out there tips their hairdresser? I used to as a matter of course but over the past year or so I have got a bit braver and only tip the ones that I think do a really good job. I just wondered what the etiquette is as I get the impression that the whole helping you on with your coat thing when you leave is to give you the opportunity to tip them? I can't say I blame them as it is a really low paid job, like waitressing etc but the main difference between us brits and the rest of the world is that we don't mind tipping if a job has been well done and a good service provided (Unlike many countries who put a service charge on their bill!). What do you all think? I usually tip about £2, is that tight (haircut costs £40)? cheers dgt3 |
