This is a recurring thread on the forum and it just shows how difficult it is to get a good hairdresser who listens.

I don't live near Winchester so can't advise on specific hairdressers, but several forumers suggested asking someone in the street whose hair style you like. Everyone who did this said the person was pleased to be complimented and willingly shared the name of their hairdresser.
