I enjoy a good look round Primark but have to go early in the day when the shop is tidy - I can't bear it when it's busy and the queues for the changing rooms and the tills are a mile long. The pyjama bottoms at £4 a pair are brilliant value as are the £1.50 't' shirts. At the moment I've also got 2 pairs of their £4 leather flip flops that look as though they should cost an awful lot more, a striped cardi and a plain green one. The £2.50 mens polo shirts are excellent and my son has had several of their sweaters, none of which have cost more than £6 - some of them have definitely been better than others wash wise but on the whole I've got no complaints. The shower curtains at £4 are a really good buy if you can find a colour/pattern that suits - although they've just changed the top so that they now clip around the rail rather than fit on a hook. At one time I was buying the plain white striped shower curtains which were selling for £15 in M & S and were exactly the same. I know because I bought the M & S ones first time round. Perhaps I'm opening a can of worms here but is it just me that feels a little uncomfortable when I hand over my money? I know that the remedy is in my own hands but I can't help but wonder who makes the things they sell and what sort of wage they receive for doing so. |
