I hear you!!! Been there and done all that aswell. I thought it was just me that had a problem with hairdressers until I read the forum and what all you girls have been through, why do we put up with it? I agree entirely with plasmo, I always get the feeling that no matter what you ask them to do they will always do their own version of it and there's the rub, it doesn't always match your version. I sympathise with those of you who have always been relatively happy with your hairdresser then move away or they move away. I have been an Toni & Guy officianado for years now but although they are the best of the worst I have had problems with individual stylists. I had a bob for years and when I saw some old pics of me and was shocked by the similarity between me and matt lucas/marjorie dawes (dust!!) I was horrified that I had let the hairdresser do that to me. So I went back, chose a new stylist and told her I didn't want a bob anymore and she gave me a really sharp, fresh and sleek new hairdo that I completely loved, then she left!! Could I get anyone to re-create that, could I ****! So the last time I went I got a photo out of a mag so I could show her, she nodded and said she could do it and lo and behold, something completely different!! I felt really annoyed/robbed. I didn't have the courage to say anything I just didn't give her a tip!!
So after 3 months of growing it out I have finally got the courage up to have my hair sorted out again. I have booked an appointment tomorrow (wish me luck) with a new stylist that has come recommended and I had a seperate consultation with her the other day and so far so good, so we will see if my faith in hairdressers will be restored again.
