Ive always had trouble getting the hairdresser to understand what I want/dont want and often come out wishing i hadnt bothered. But the worst was when I decided to go for some highlights (which I imagined would be multi-tonal, youre worth it, very natural, etc) but actually looked like Mallen with several blonde chunky patches... aaagh. I was horrified and phoned my sister in law (she used to be a hairdresser but lives 150 miles away from me) and she said I should ring and tell hairdresser and he would put it right. The receptionist said they couldnt fit me in for next three days... oh no ... so I rang other hairdressers and they didnt want to know saying I should go back to where Id had it done! So off I went to Boots and bought their own brand colour (firt time for that too) against sister in law's advice. Did all tests and thought it would be good. But I came out looking like a gough (daughter and son said very gently as they knew I was about to get it all shaved off) Oh no, never going out again. so off to Boots again for lighter shade... thinking Im sure it will end up green if not careful so decided to opt for the natural lightening route and bought lemons. Washed my hair several times in the shower but to no avail. Really really clean hair and shower though. Kim and Aggie would have been sooo impressed. Had to wait for it to grow out. Will never do that again... cos Im worth it!! |
