I guess you could have similar items but in your own choice of colour.

One thing I do remember reading is to have a darkish 'base' colour and another light one as your basic colour scheme then add colour to bighten it up.

So for example you could choose from black, navy, brown, or purple for example as a base colour. Then add white, cream, beige, taupe etc as your lighter colour. Depends on your skin and hair colour.

The main problem I get with a capsule wardrobe is that I feel I would get bored, but in reality I tend to wear the same things anyhow!
