Every year I have the same problem. Trying to find a pair of shorts that I don't look too horrendous in. Shorts and I do not get on. Though I must say I am of the opinion that, generally speaking, the human race weren't designed to wear them. It used to be okay when I was younger because I have good legs so could get away with short shorts. However now, although the pins are still pretty good, the face tells a different story. I had decided that I would go to M&S next week and try on every pair in the shop, regardless of price. However I have just got back from Sainsburys, a different one to the usual. This one is fatal because it sells clothes etc and at the moment they have 25% off all clothes and accessories until Monday. I came back with 2 pairs of cut offs. One is awful because they are too long and look as if I'm wearing a pair of trousers that are too short for me. However the others are shorter and look okay. As an added bonus, they were Ł9 (less 25%) and a size 12. I've just put on 2lbs so their sizing is obviously very kind.
