That's a very interesting question, mjm. As you know, some of us have been on quite a long journey (448 days to be precise) to get here, and that's made it quite hard to keep motivated. I'm sure that without the daily posts I'd have given up by now, but I'm so pleased I haven't, so thank you all.

Time targets don't work for me, they just put me under pressure. I'm quite near my target weight. Not as near as I was three weeks ago, but that's another story! OH has noticed a great big difference in me and can't quite get over it! Some friends are starting to say "Don't lose anymore", but I'd like to lose a total of three stone from my starting weight so that I've got room to "bounce". By that I mean gain a few pounds every now and then and then take them off again. I know I gained three pounds at Christmas and it took me ages to get them back off.

I'm much more conscious of my body now, and I've noticed the three pounds I gained over the last fortnight. What I want to be sure of is that I don't gain any more. So my goal is a long term one. I don't care how long it takes me, as long as the trend is downward with the occasional bounce. And of course the not so occasional flounce!! Today, with the sun shining I would say I too am a 5 on the motivation scale.
