Re: MM Day 162 Creating routines

Hi everyone,
I am definitely keen on making routines as a part of everyday life. This is what I tell my students for getting them to practice their musical instrument, it should be like cleaning your teeth.
I find it hard to have regular times for myself everyday as my work schedule is different nearly everyday and I finish late then have to cook dinner!!!!
Well I am trying to put in the 10 minute slot as that is possible even for my mad life.Gilley I saw your post on FF but as you’re on here too thought you should know I can’t seem to shift the scales either.
Have you seen the article in July W&H ‘Who stole my waistline? PAGE 88.
Quote:

It says stress piles on the puffy waistline pounds.
Prolonged stress causes the stress hormone cortisol to be secreted, stimulating insulin release which is the bodies attempt to stabilise blood sugar.

In the same article it says:
Another cause of weight gain is lack of sleep.
Extra sleep equals LESS waistline.

Have walked about only about 3500 steps today but had lots of bending down to tune violins so I’ve got to go out for a walk now . It’s cooled down outside and I just ate Pizza that wasn’t on my plan at all today.
