Finally plucked up courage to have implant in front tooth. Not pleasant getting it done, but even scarier writing out the cheque! Went back for check-up only to be told that it hasn't 'taken' and needs to be re-done. Gutted. Dentist reassured me that it just means a minor setback of a month or two, but this is a front tooth, and 2 months in, I'm already fed up of using my back teeth for everything (no sandwiches, pizza for me!). Am also really worried that I'll go through the next 6 months (sucking soup through a straw!) only to be told that it's not successful. Part of me just wants to quit and get that bridging done instead, but I know that's just me being cowardly! Anyone had a front tooth implant? Been through the same experience? |
