I suffered really bad migraines for many years... hospitalised twice! and injections by the doctor were the only thing that helped when i was in the throes of one. Laid me low for days... with sensitivity to light smells and noise ....really really bad I often thought I would rather die. Having given birth three times I would rather that than suffer a migraine. However, about 10 years ago I was prescribed betablockers for the headaches and they stopped!!! BRILLIANT...I still get a lot of head aches but a couple of pain killers will usually do the trick these days. I get a bit cross when some folk refer to all head aches as migraine...bit like people who call a cold flu!!!
