Lavender is a good idea. You can either use the essential oil in a light ring, which is a metal ring which you rest on the light bulb and before you switch it on put 4-6 drops of lavender essential oil in it. Lavender is a really relaxing oil. but if he suffers from a busy mind ie he can't relax his mind when he tries to sleep and is thinking of what he is going to do the next day or what he did the previous day, he should try Sandalwood in the blend as well. 3 drops of sandalwood and 3 of Lavender. Put the oil in, switch the light on 20 mins before bedtime and keep the door closed.If you can't get a ring, put the oils, 1 of each in some body lotion and massage into chest and neck. Also ensure he is not playing computer games or doing Sudoku prior to bedtime. Cut down on the alcohol and perhaps try a milky drink, but no coffee.
