I have had it for several years and had no side effects at all. I may just be lucky but I do know other folk who have it every year without any problems. I would urge you to have it Elsie. I was given it as my husband was ill and had no immune system......Im now old enough to be given it for my sake! I reckon it is much easier than having proper flu.
